Actor and Writer. Born in the UK, Craig began his theatrical career as Assistant Stage Manager at the Castle Theatre in Farnham, Surrey. He then progressed to playing small parts in other repertory companies before finally appearing at the Oxford Playhouse 1954 under the directorship of Peter Hall. While there, Craig was signed by Arthur Rank for a seven year film contract. He is thought to have appeared in thirty films for Rank, Romulus, ABPC, Fox, Columbia as well as some independent film companies. Craig spent a season with the Royal Shakespeare Company (RSC) in London between 1963-64. As a writer, he co-wrote The Angry Silence for which he received an Academy Award nomination in 1960.
