Actor and novelist. Beginning her career as a dancer in revue and cabaret, Gascoine was one of the founding members of the Living Theatre in Leicester (with Derrick Goodwin) before going on to join the Dundee Repertory Theatre. She is perhaps best known for her television roles in the 1980s series The Gentle Touch and the later spin-off series, C.A.T.S. Eyes.
