Broadcast Notes

BBC Television produced Pinter’s A Slight Ache, A Night Out and The Basement in a triple bill in the Theatre 625 strand. Maurice Denham had played the role of Edward in the first radio production of A Slight Ache in 1959.

A note on the script: the work here is a play originally written for the radio that is being relayed on television. We are unaware of any differences in dialogue between the broadcast text and the published text of the play. A television script would have been prepared for the broadcast, but we are not aware of any archival resource that has retained this to consult.
