Actor. Following his training at the Embassy School of Acting in London, Waller appeared at the Old Vic theatre and with various regional theatre companies. After resolving to leave the theatre industry, Waller was enticed back onto the stage by director Trevor Nunn who cast him in the part of Father in Gwyn Thomas's The Keep at the Belgrade Theatre in Coventry in 1963. Waller then relocated to Coventry to continue to work with Nunn, appearing in a variety of roles. He first appeared at the Royal Shakespeare Company (RSC) in 1962, becoming an Associate Artist of the company in 1966. While there, he appeared in numerous roles until 1991 including Bottom in Peter Brook's seminal production of A Midsummer Night's Dream in 1970 and alongside Dame Peggy Ashcroft in Pinter's Landscape in 1969.
