Mr Wayne Dowdeswell (Male)

Designer. Primarily a lighting designer for the stage, Dowdeswell's early work was in Manchester before he joined the Royal Shakespeare Company in 1978 where he worked initially as an assistant electrician. He spent over 20 years lighting many productions for The Other Place (where he became chief electrician in 1984), The Pit and Barbican Theatres. He was Lighting Supervisor for the Swan Theatre from 1986 until 2007. Since then he has worked freelance lighting both plays and operas.
