Actor. In a career spanning more than fifty years, Horsfall worked across television, film and stage, appearing in popular television shows such as Z Cars, The Bill and Doctor Who and films such as On Her Majesty's Secret Service (1969), Richard Attenborough's Gandhi (1982) and Mel Gibson's Braveheart (1995). On stage, he worked in a number of repertory and London theatres beginning in Dundee, the Old Vic, the old Nottingham Playhouse and the Birmingham Rep and later the Almeida and the National Theatre. In the late 1980s, Horsfall appeared in a number of prominent roles with the Royal Shakespeare Company in Stratford-upon-Avon and London. Later, in 2000 he appeared Corin in the revival of Michael Grandage's production of As You Like It at the Sheffield Crucible.
