Actor. Hooper has had an extensive career on the stage, appearing in multiple productions at venues such as the Royal Court, Manchester Royal Exchange, National Theatre, Liverpool Playhouse, Royal Shakespeare Company, Almeida, Theatre Royal Stratford East and Glasgow Citizens. Alongside his work onstage, Hooper is also responsible for leading the campaign to protect and revive the Greenwich Theatre (London) which reopened in 1969. Later, in 1980, he founded The Scottish Theatre Company, which ran for eight years primarily under the directorship of Tom Fleming.
