Actor. Fox has worked in theatre, television and film. His career in the theatre began in the 1950s and in cinema in the 1960s. His international public profile was built upon his performances in films such as The Go-Between (Joseph Losey, 1971), A Bridge Too Far (Richard Attenborough, 1977) and Force 10 from Navarone (Guy Hamilton, 1978). Fox first collaborated with Pinter in that Losey film, and was later directed by him in two of Simon Gray's plays. He reflects on these experiences in a 2021 interview conducted for the Pinter Legacies project.
