Composer and actor. Fenton's first major role was in Alan Bennett's Forty Years On (1968), and he appeared in the soap opera Emmerdale Farm (ITV, 1972 -) in the early 1970s. He switched however to working as a composer, and his first work in theatre in that capacity was in 1974 for 5th Royal Shakespeare Company.
