Politician. Odlum was born in Castries, and studied in England at the University of Bristol University and Oxford University before returning to Saint Lucia as Permanent Secretary to the Ministry of Trade. Between 1979 and 1981 he was Deputy Prime Minister of the country, UN Ambassador between 1995 and 1996 and ForeignSecretary between 1997 and 2001. As a young man, while at the University of Bristol, he acted in the premiere of Harold Pinter's The Room, creating the role of Riley.
