Richard Emery, known professionally 'Dick', was a celebrated English comedian known for performing a range of different invented characters, some in drag, that would feature in comedy sketches. He is remembered for a number of his characters' catchphrases, often typical of British 'saucy' humour of the middle and late twentieth century, including 'Hello Honky Tonks' and 'Ooh, you are awful ... but I like you!' The Dick Emery show ran on British television from 1963 to 1981.
