Director, playwright and actor. His first production as director was at the RoyaL Court Theatre in 1965. He became artistic director of the Riverside Studios in 1976. He acted as an Associate Director of the National Theatre 1980 to 1997. His works have been performed at the National Theatre, The Royal Court The Donmar Warehouse and The Riverside Studios.
