28 June 1969 The revue evening had transferred from the Hampstead theatre, where it had been performed under the title ‘We Who Are About To…’ on 6 February 1969. Pinter’s sketch did not feature at the Hampstead, but was added for this evening at the Comedy theatre. There were nine pieces before and four after the interval. Night was performed fourth, before the interval. In order the sketches were: Haven (James Saunders), Score (Lyndon Brook), Norma (Alun Owen), Permanence (Fay Weldon), Countdown (Alan Ayckbourn), Silver Wedding (John Bowen), Resting Place (David Compton) and The Figures of Authority (George Melly). Pinter saw the performance on the 29 May. |
