Questors Theatre (Est. 1933)

Questors Theatre

12 Mattock Ln, London W5 5BQ, UK

Date Opened: 1933

The Questors began as an amateur theatre group, formed in 1929. Their first performance took place at the Park Theatre in Hanwell before the group moved to St Martin's Hall in Acton, London and then to their current address at Mattock Lane. Their first show there opened in 1933 and the group finally purchased the site in 1952. Construction on the building was completed in 1964 and, to celebrate the fiftieth anniversary of its official opening, in October 2014 it was renamed the Judi Dench Playhouse.
