The Progress Theatre is located on The Mount, Reading. It is governed, funded and maintained by volunteers. Producing its first shows in 1947, it is the oldest producing theatre in Reading. As a registered charity, the Progress is committed to promoting education in the performing arts as well as producing a programme of varied, interesting and challenging drama to the highest standard. The venue seats 96 and includes Disabled Access and a state of the art hearing loop.
