Commonly believed to have been written in 1613, and published in 1623 in the First Folio, Shakespeare and Fletcher's King Henry VIII has the king pay too much heed to Cardinal Wolsey. The Cardinal abuses his position to convict a duke of treason. Henry meets Anne Boleyn, divorces his wife Katharine, and marries Anne. Anne gives birth to Princess Elizabeth who the Archbishop prophesies will become great.
