Director, writer and actor. In 1995 Roberts joined production the team on the Welsh soap opera Rownd a Rownd (S4C, 1995 and ongoing) as script editor. He was artistic director of Theatr Genedlaethol Cymru (national Theatre of Wales) from 2003 to 2010.
