27 July 1991 The published text (Faber and Faber) gives 19 July as the opening date. Ariel Dorfman’s play Death and the Maiden is listed as opening in the 4 July. The New World Order was one of four short plays that were mounted as part of a rotating double bill. The dates of performance between 19 and 27 July for New World Order are not known. The other plays were Griselda Gambaro’s Putting Two and Two Together, Gcina Mhlope’s Love Child and Stefan Tsanev’s Paranoia. These are the dates for the Jerwood Theatre upstairs.
