West Yorkshire Playhouse / Leeds Playhouse

The Quarry theatre is the larger of the two main performance spaces at the West Yorkshire Playhouse, with a maximum capacity of 750 people. The Leeds Playhouse was originally located on the south grounds of the University of Leeds Campus, adjoined to the University sports hall. In 1990 it moved to a purpose built theatre with two venues on Quarry Hill, Leeds and was renamed the West Yorkshire Playhouse. It reverted to its original name in 2018 after a refurbishment and additional build.
